The experience at this hidden gem was mind-blowing! The super friendly host pointed us to a quirky bar with amazing food. The breakfast brought to our room was jaw-dropping, with plenty of fresh fruit. The best part was the incredible shower, better than any hotel I've stayed at. Parking was a breeze with a large car park just outside, and there were even options for secure motorbike parking. The location was perfect, a short walk to all the bars and restaurants but still quiet enough for a good night's sleep. The boat atmosphere was unique and reminded us that we were on a special getaway. I can't wait to go back!

The hotel's unique decoration and charming ambiance made me feel like I was staying in a palace. The general areas, including the terrace overlooking the Rhine, were accessible and provided breathtaking views that filled my heart with joy.
I would have appreciated a bit more assistance from the young staff members, who sometimes seemed overwhelmed with their responsibilities.

Our stay at Drijfpaleis in Arnhem was incredible! Great value for money with unique and artistically designed rooms that are full of hidden details. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk to bars and restaurants, and the view of the river from the small private balcony was fantastic. The host, Ruud, was inspiring and made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. He even woke us up with a delicious local breakfast the next day. Highly recommended!
The morning meal could have been improved with more variety.

I recently stayed at the Drijfpaleis for a few nights and it was an amazing experience. The unique décor and the fantastic view from the balcony made it truly memorable. The peaceful atmosphere of living on a houseboat was a welcome change from the usual hustle and bustle. The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and there was always plenty of hot water. The continental breakfast was generous, and the helpful host provided us with a local map. Free parking right in front of the accommodation was a convenient perk. It was a short walk to the bars and restaurants, and sitting out on the balcony watching the boats go by was a delight. Having complimentary tea and coffee, as well as an honesty box for beverages in the fridge, was a nice touch. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and overall, staying at the Drijfpaleis was a unique and enjoyable experience that I won't forget.
100% Recommend this hotel.

The room at Drijfpaleis was cozy and comfortable, perfect for my nature-loving self. The single beds gave me a sense of independence and freedom, while the private terrace by the riverside allowed me to immerse myself in the beauty of nature. Plus, the themed accommodation on the houseboat made me feel like I was on an exciting adventure.
Personally, I wished there were more TV channels available, as only having 3 Dutch channels limited my entertainment options. However, I understand that others may not feel the same way and might appreciate the chance to disconnect and fully embrace the natural surroundings.

I absolutely adored the unique and vibrant decoration at the hotel. Every corner was filled with visually appealing and whimsical touches, making it a joy to explore. The common areas were comfortable, cozy, and accessible for senior people like me, allowing me to relax and enjoy the ambiance. It was such a refreshing change from the ordinary!
If I had to think of one thing to make the stay even better for senior people, it would be to have more assistance available from the staff. Sometimes, the children working there seemed busy and a bit overwhelmed, and it would have been nice to have a helping hand readily available when needed.
